కృష్ణ : అర్జునా, యుద్ధక్షేత్ర మధ్యలో ఇలా సంకల్పం లేకుండా ఉండటం నీ వంటి యోధుడికి కీర్తికరం కాదు. నీ ఈ సంధిగ్ధాలను దాటి యుద్ధాన్ని ఆరంభించు.  అర్జున : నాకు దైవ సమానులైన భీష్మ ద్రోణాదుల మీద అస్త్రాలను ఎలా ప్రయోగించగలను? వారిని వధించి వొచ్చే భోగాలను ఎలా అనుభవించగలను? యుద్దాన్ని చేయటం, చేయకపోవడంలో ఏది మంచిదో నాకు అర్థంకావటంలేదు. వొకవేళ యుద్ధం చేసి గెలిచినా, ఇంత మందిని చంపిన తరువాత జీవితేశ్చ ఎలా ఉంటుంది? కృష్ణా, నాకు ఏమి చెయ్యాలో బాధపడటం లేదు. నాపై దయవుంచి నేను చేయదగినది ఎదో నాకు తెలుపు.  కృష్ణ : అర్జునా, నీ మిడిమిడి జ్ఞానంతో నువ్వు అత్యంత ప్రజ్ఞ కలవాడిలా మాట్లాడుతున్నావు. ధుఃకింప తగని వారిని గూర్చి బాధపడుతున్నావు. పండితులు ఉన్నవారిని గురించి గాని చనిపోయిన వారిని గురించిగాని ధుఃఖించరు.  అందరిలో ఉండే ఆత్మను అర్థంచేసుకో. నువ్వు, నేను, సమస్త జీవులు ఎల్లప్పుడూ ఉంటారు. ఏ విధంగా అయితే చిరిగిన వస్త్రాలను వొదిలి కొత్త వస్త్రాలను ధరిస్తామో, అదే విధంగా ఆత్మ ఒక శరీరం వొదిలి మరో కొత్త శరీరాన్ని పొందుతుంది. ఇప్పుడు ఉన్నది ఎల్లప్పుడూ ఉంటుంది, ఇప్పుడు లేనిది మరెప్పుడూ లేదు. ఈ ఆత్మను ఎవరూ నాశన...

దృతరాష్ట్ర మహారాజు యుద్ధ భూమిలో తలపడటానికి సిద్ధంగా ఉన్న తన కుమారులకు మరియు తన తమ్ముని కుమారులకూ ఏమి జరుగుతున్నదో తెలుసుకోవాలనే ఉత్సుకతతో ఉన్నాడు. అతను సంజయునితో ఇలా భాషణ మొదలు పెట్టాడు.  దృతరాష్ట్ర : యుద్ధాన్ని ఆరంబించటానికి కురుక్షేత్రం లో సమీకృతమైన నా కుమారులు మరియు నా తమ్ముడు పాండు కుమారులు ఏమి చేస్తున్నారు? సంజయ : మహారాజా, తన గురువు ద్రోణాచార్యుని దెగ్గరకి వెళ్లిన దుర్యోధనుడు, ఇరు సైన్యాలలో ఉన్న ముఖ్య యోధుల గురించి వివరించాడు. ఇంకా ఇలా అన్నాడు- "ఇక్కడ ఉన్న యుద్ధ వీరులందరూ తమ ప్రాణాలని వొదలడానికి సిద్ధపడిన వారు. భీమునిచే రక్షించబడుతున్న పాండవ సైన్య బలం పరిమితం, కానీ బీష్మునిచే రక్షించబడుతున్న కౌరవ సైన్య బలం అపరిమితం. బీష్ముడు యుద్ధంలో ఉన్నంత వరకూ శత్రువులకు విజయం అసాధ్యం. కనుక బీష్ముని కాపాడటం మనకు అత్యంత ముఖ్యం." అవతలి వైపు గాండీవదారి ఐన అర్జునుడు, తన రధసారధి ఐన కృష్ణునితో ఇలా చెప్తున్నాడు.  అర్జున : కృష్ణా, నా కోసం తలబడేవారెవరో, నాతో తలబడేవారెవరో చూడాలని ఉంది. ఈ రధాన్ని ఇరు సైన్యాల మధ్యకి తీసుకువెళ్ళు.  సంజయ : అర్జునిని కోరికమేరకు రధాన్ని ఇరు సైన్యాల మధ్యకి కృష్ణుడు...

ఒక రాజ్య నిజమైన వారసులను సజీవంగా తగలబెట్టే ప్రయత్నం జరిగినప్పుడు; బలమైన రాజ్య మహారాణిని నిండు సభలో వివస్త్రను చేసే ప్రయత్నం జరిగినప్పుడు; భారతదేశ సుసంపన్నమైన రాజ్యా రాజులు పద్నాలుగేండ్లు వనవాసం చేయవలసి వొచ్చినప్పుడు; భగవంతుని తీయని మాటలను ఆలకించలేని దుష్టులు రాజ్యం చేస్తున్నప్పుడు; నానా రాజ్యాల స్పర్ధలు ఒక చోటికి చేరినప్పుడు; యుద్దాన్ని ఆపటానికి చేసిన ప్రయత్నాలన్నీ విఫలమైనప్పుడు; రొండు భారీ సైన్యాలు ఇరువైపులా నిలబడినప్పుడు; యుద్ధం అనివార్యమవుతుంది.  కానీ, తన ప్రియమైన వారు ఎదుటి సైన్యంలో ఉన్నప్పుడు, ఏ యోధుడికైనా యుద్ధాన్ని ఆరంభించటం కష్టమే. అదే, తనకు ఇష్టులైన వారిపై బాణాలు సంధించాలి అని గుర్తొస్తే, ఆ యోధుడికి మరింత కష్టం అవుతుంది. మహాభారత కావ్యానికి ముఖ్య నాయకులలో ఒకడైన అర్జునుడికి ఇలాంటి సంధిగ్దమే ఎదురయింది. అదృష్టవశాత్తు, మార్గనిర్ధేశం చేయటానికి అర్జునుడి చెంత రథసారధిగా శ్రీకృష్ణ పరమాత్మ ఉన్నాడు.  యుద్ధ ఆరంభానికి ఆతృతగా ఇరు పక్షాల సైన్యం ఎదురుచూస్తుంది. ఈ తతంగం మొత్తాన్ని వ్యాస మహాముని  ద్వారా లభ్యమైన దివ్య నేత్రాలతో, దృతరాష్ట్ర మహారాజ రధసారధి ఐన సంజయుడు వీక్షిస్తున్నాడు...

భగవద్గీత, భారత దేశపు ఇతిహాసంగా చెప్పబడే మహాభారత కావ్యంలో ఒక చిన్న భాగం. కానీ, ఆ చిన్న భాగమే యావత్ భారతీయ తత్వశాస్త్రాల సారాంశంగా పరిగణించబడుతుంది. అనాదిగా కోట్లాది భారతీయులకు దిక్సూచి అయ్యింది. అన్ని కాలాలకు, అన్ని తరాలకు సరిపడినట్టుగా ఉండే ఈ పుస్తకం, ఎప్పుడూ కొత్తదే.  మనిషి తీసుకోదగిన మూడు మార్గాలను ఈ పుస్తకం ఉపదేశిస్తుంది. అవి జ్ఞాన యోగం, కర్మ యోగం మరియు భక్తి యోగం. ఈ బ్లాగులో నేను జ్ఞాన మరియు కర్మ యోగాల గురించి ఎక్కువగా పేర్కొంటాను. భక్తి యోగం గురించి కొంచమే ప్రస్తావిస్తాను. భక్తి యోగం గురించి తెలుసుకోవాలి అని కోరుకుంటున్నవారికి చాల అద్భుతమైన పుస్తకాలూ ఉన్నాయి.  మరలా, అందరికీ సులువుగా అర్థమవ్వాలన్న ఉద్దేశంతో కొంత ఎక్కువగా సులభీకరించాను. కానీ, భగవద్గీత ఉద్దేశాన్ని ఎక్కడా మార్చను. 

Introduction A religion or idea surviving for thousands of years is not an easy task. That too when there are heavy odds against it for over a thousand years. But, Hinduism did that. It is flourishing for atleast 3000 years(many believe it to be over 6000 years). Every time there is a challenge, it survived by adopting and reforming itself. I believe, this is another moment when more reforms are needed. In this article, I want to briefly touch some of the major challenges faced by Hinduism in the past and how it survived before going through the reforms needed.  After waiting for almost 2 weeks, I finally watched Kalki 2898AD movie. My overall opinion of the movie is, it can be made much better. In single word, I will say that the movie is "Bad". Below are the reasons I didn't like the movie- The story demands seriousness and sticking to the root(like in RRR). But, they tried to forcefully add comedy into the movie. Especially the comedy involving Prabhas and Bujji is terrible. The Telugu accent used in the movie is super irritating. Lot of cast is added to the movie just for having them in the movie. The random song involving Disha Patani is unnecessary and waste of time. Finally, while the movie is taking its root from Mahabharata. They glorified Karna over Arjuna. Which is factually incorrect. Of the 3 hours I spent in the theater watching the movie, there is not a single instance of applause from audience. I didn't get goosebumps even once through the movie. In 2015, when I was working in Chennai, one of my close friends introduced me to this. He is well known with my mom and dad as well. He has lunch in my home and I had lunch in their home multiple times. These are the sequence of events that happened.  My recent solo trip to Thailand left me with so many wonderful moments. With the tips provided by my friends, I got most of the things right. But, there are few things that I will say could have been better. Here are few things that can be done to make your trip a great success. Make sure your credit card has international transactions enabled. If possible get a travel credit card that saves you during international transactions. Don't convert INR to Bhat while in India(especially in the airport). The conversion charges in airport is near 25%. It is not worth it. There are plenty of money exchange facilities in Pattaya. The conversion charges is only around 6% there. Book hotel in central Pattaya. That is where all the fun is. Install Grab and Bolt apps before you start. No need to setup, just install and get it ready. Travel lite. Carry as few cloths as possible. There are plenty of Indian food options. So, no need to worry about food.  Regular things that someone does on a daily basis will be surprising for an outsider. This is what cultural difference is. Onsen(Hot Spring) is something which is quite common in Japan and is getting popular at many other places. It will definitely be very awkward for any Indian as public bath is not common in India(except during religious gathering, even there modesty becomes very important). I got a chance to experience Onsen during my resent visit to Pattaya. Overall, it is a good experience. I came to know about this through a friend who stayed in Thailand earlier. Listening to this I thought to break my comfort zone and experience it. After a great day of time spent with elephants and learning about them, I started for Onsen in the evening.  I just finished my week long solo trip to Thailand. While I didn't do anything super crazy, this trip helped me to spend time with myself. I also get to choose what I want to do instead of me compromising for someone else or vise versa. I get to do many things that I wouldn't have done or spend time on that otherwise.  I have reached Pattaya around 10:30AM. I am tired and exhausted by that time. So, I preferred to rest for a while before going for my first activity that evening. Which is Alcazar Cabaret Show. This show is great from the beginning, but keeps rising the bar through out. Overall, it is delight to watch it for around 70minutes non-stop. [ link ] The foremost and the one I liked the most is spending time with elephants at "Elephant Jungle Sanctuary Pattaya".
