Krishna: Divine characteristics are Fearlessness, pure minded, persistence for wisdom, performing donations, self consciousness, yagna, understanding scriptures, penance, non violence, truthfulness, absence of anger, sacrificing, peace, not trying to malign others, kindness towards all living beings, not obsessed with worldly things, soft nature, shyness, stable, forgiveness, stubbornness, being good, never betray and not having proudness.
Demon characteristics are proudness, conceit, anger, narrowmindedness, and stupidity. While divine characteristics lead to salvation, demon characteristics tie a person to the rebirth cycle. All living things either have divine characteristics or demonic characteristics. I have described divine characteristics till now. I will now describe the demonic characteristics.
The one with demon characteristics doesn’t have a sense of what is good or what is bad, they don’t have tidiness, they don’t have ethics and they don’t even have truthfulness. They believe that the relationship between a man and a woman is only for procreation. Their desires have no limit and they are filled with pride and arrogance. They accumulate wealth in an unethical manner and only crave for worldly pleasures.
As soon as they achieve what they are craving, they will start to crave for a new thing. As soon as they overcame one enemy, their focus shifts to destroying the others. They will pride themselves with the kind of pleasures they experience. They declare themselves as the most powerful. They perform Yajnas and donations only for the sake of fame. Thereby, they live their life enjoying the approval of society. Understand that all this is ignorance. They actually live with this infatuation in their mind. Filled with pride, conceit, lust, anger and jealousy, they won’t be able to see the divine within them and others. They will be stuck in the rebirth cycle.
Lust, anger and greed causes the destruction of a person and paves the path to hell. Whoever saves themselves from these 3 sinful characteristics, will be able to attain salvation.
